John and Justin were recommended to us by friends and we’re so happy we decided to give them a call.

John’s communication is brilliant, he came the next day, explained what we could do with a remodel and we got the quote (fair and competitive) that afternoon and started the process of picking our items and tiles (John makes this so easy). They did a full renovation of our bathroom, waterproofing the lot. Then we met Justin. Justin project managed our bathroom renovation perfectly. Justin does not get enough credit with these reviews, he is incredibly hard working and does everything to make sure the process is stress free.

The brothers are extremely responsive and respectful, they ensured the property was kept clean and tidy and their trades are very competent. You’re crazy if you don’t give them a chance to quote your job and you’re even crazier if you don’t give them the work.

They will definitely be doing all our future renovations. Thank you John and Justin for everything you did. We will be recommending Start Build to everyone.

After about 5 failed enquiries with other tradespeople, I sent a job enquiry to John at StartBuild expecting the same outcome.

Within 5 minutes (i'm not joking), I was receiving a phone call.

From the very first interaction, John has been friendly, attentive and always willing to accommodate any requests and work with you to achieve a solution.

I hired StartBuild majoritively to do a full stripdown and rebuild of a badly water damaged bathroom.

Additional works included a full house internal painting, garden clean up, concrete repair and rubbish removal.

I had a strict budget for these works.
John was able to achieve all the requested tasks 10k under budget.

Throughout the process, I was regularly kept up to date on the work.
Any concerns or questions from John were immediately brought to my attention for approval or discussion.

The work time frame was approximately 2 and a half weeks.

The work quality is top shelf.

In comparison to other trades people I have employed, John and his team are light years ahead.

I know this sounds like 'over the top' praise, but hand on heart, this renovation has been the easiest I have ever been involved with.

To anyone searching for a tradesperson to attend to any job, big or small, I would whole hearted suggest you give John a call.

John and the team at StartBuild renovated two of our preschool bathrooms. They did an outstanding job. The bathrooms look absolutely wonderful and are much more user friendly thanks to the great guidance we received from John and the team. The process was so easy, from start to finish and I could not be happier with the whole experience.

John, James and the team are professional, patient and highly communicative regarding my bathroom renovation.

I’ve had previously been in the construction industry where I was in charge of the 650 odd bathrooms in Hotel Shangrila in Sydney (a 6 star hotel in Sydney) so was fully aware of the level of detail and precision of bathroom fit out. My partner identifies me as a complete perfectionist.

I knew I’d be a very picky customer. At the end of the project I found 1 very small defect which was immediately fixed.

I can’t fault the level of quality Startbuilds quality, it is pretty perfect. This level of quality was done as a matter of course.

John et al should be incredibly proud of the work they delivered on my project. I would highly recommend StartBuild, I’m planning to use them on my next project.
Thanks guys!

Startbuild were amazing from the start to the finish of our bathroom renovations. From the beginning, they created a Whats App group, where we were constantly updated about what stage the renovation was up to. Startbuild is run by three brothers, John, James & Justin who project managed the renovations in a seamless way. Their subcontractors had all worked for the company for many years, which is always a very good sign that they do high standard work and are happy working for the company. Additionally, our bathrooms required custom built vanities in the shaker style and they look absolutley amazing. Regardless of the work being carried out before Xmas which is a super busy time, the renovations came in on time and in on budget. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants high level building or renovation works. It was a pleasure having them work for us.

This year we engaged StartBuild to renovate both our main bathroom and ensuite and we couldn't be happier with the results.

John and his brother James and their team were so great to work with. They were prompt, organised and kept us in the loop every step of the way through email and a group text with our Designer.

They met every challenge our apartment threw at them and nothing was too hard. The quality of the tile work was second to none.

They kept good care of our apartment and the common areas with protective padding and were very respectful of our neighbours and kept everything clean and tidy.

Highly recommend.
